Wanted Dead or Alive was filmed in black and white from 1958 to 1961. It starred Steve McQueen as a bounty hunter Josh Randall who always carried an 1892 Winchester rifle called the Mare's leg and uses his earnings for a good cause. Writers of the series were Samuel A Peeples and Charles Beaumont. Thus with this TV show, McQueen's movie career started and began rising.
