The story of Diagnosis Murder tv show was about Dr. Mark Sloan, he is the chief doctor at L.A's Community General Hospital and a consultant for the police department. Even though his duties as a doctor keep him busy enough, he still finds time to help the police solve murders, which in addition, his father was a Los Angeles police detective and his son, Steve Sloan, is a detective for the department. Dr. Sloan is assisted by several others over the years. Dr. Jack Stewart, is the prodigy of Dr. Sloan's, who raised him from the mean streets to become a doctor. Amanda Bentley is the hospital's chief pathologist, and Jesse Travis, is an intern in ER medicine. They also help Dr. Sloan solve some strange murder cases in Diagnosis Murder.
