The Outsider DVD
The Outsider is an American drama/action television series that centers on David Ross, played by Darren McGavin, a hard-luck private eye that is everything but the common stereotype of a private detective. Ross is an ex-con, who had been unjustly convited of a murder charge, living in a run-down Los Angeles apartment building and drives a beat up old car. He could barely make a living out of the cases he handles (mostly divorce cases) and barely has any friends - in short, Ross finds the world a very unfriendly place and considers himself the outsider.
The Outsider ran on NBC from September 18, 1968 to April 16, 1969 for a total of 26 episodes. The series was created by Roy Huggins, creator of hit shows/movies "Maverick", "Cheyenne", "Colt 45", "The Fugitive", "Run For Your Life", "77 Sunset Strip", and "The Rockford Files".
