Marcus Welby, M.D. was a popular medical drama series that was aired from September 23, 1969 to July 29, 1976 and produced by David Victor.
The television shows starring Marcus Welby,(Robert Young)is a general practitioner in Santa Monica Family Doctor and able to address many of the health issues and help to educate the viewing public. He is together with his young assistant Steven Kiley (James Brolin)helping him about people health problems.He is contracted by Dr Welby for one year before resuming his training as neurologist.The two tries to treat people as individuals in an age of medicine and uncaring doctor. Dr. Welby has love interest to Janet Blake (Pamela Hensley),a public relation director of Hope Memorial Hospital and later married on the telecast of October 21, 1975.
Marcus Welby is soon became the biggest hit in the history of the ABC network and rank one among all TV programs for full seasons. The program also won the Emmy and was held in very high esteem by medical group.
