The Monkees is and American situation comedy series aired on NBC from September 1996 until March 1968 starring the singing quartet named The Monkees which includes Micky Dolenz as Micky, Michael Nesmith as Mike, Peter Tork as Peter and Davy Jones as Davy. The group of four men are trying to make name for themselves as rock and roll singers. The series won two Emmy Awards in 19667 for its creative new-wave film techniques to the series. The outrageous adventures of the musical quartet was inspired by the 1964 film The Beatles “A Hard Day's Night”.
