Amos n Andy DVD
Amon 'n' Andy is a popular American situation comedy that was a direct descendent of the longest running radio program in broadcast history that originated on WMAQ in Chicago. Amos 'n Andy presented the antics of Amos Jones, played by Alvin Childress, a naive but honest, hard-working family man and his blustering and overconfident business associate, Andy, played by Spencer Williams, Jr. Stories in the show mostly centered on The George "Kingfish" Steven's (Rim Moore) schemes to get rich, often by duping his brothers in the Mystic Knights of the Sea Lodge.
Amos 'n' Andy is television's first TV show to have a predominantly minority casts (majority of the principal characters of the series were African-American) and although considered by many as the most offensive television series of all time, it was still well-loved by many. Amon 'n' Andy aired on CBS from June 28, 1951 to June 11, 1953 for two seasons with a total of 78 episodes.
