Adapted from 1963 film 'Flipper' comes the Flipper TV Series, an adventures of a young park ranger responsible in managing activities and protecting the Coral Key Park and Marin Preserve in Florida. Widow chief ranger Porter Ricks with his two sons Sandy and Bud befriends with a super-intelligent dolphin named Flipper, they handle game fish and skin divers activities in the park. Sandy and Bud with Flipper always keeping an eye for crooks and poachers who do something illegal where the boys often captured, smart precocious dolphin Flipper always get some help and rescue the boys or anyone in danger.
Female dolphin 'Mitzi' played as Flipper in all close-up while athletic stunts and the famous tail walk were done by male dolphin named 'Mr. Gipper'.
