NBC's Underdog Cartoon TV Series was premiered on October 3, 1964, featuring a funny dog superhero named 'Underdog' with Superman parody. Just like Superman, Underdog's secret identity was a humble, lovable and mild-mannered puppy named Shoeshine Boy in ordinary day but when his TV reported girlfriend Sweet Polly Purebred singing a rhythm means she's in trouble, Shoeshine hurried slip in a telephone booth, taking his 'Underdog Super Energy Vitamin Pill' he keep in his special ring, and whoa his Underdog with a super strength, weapon invulnerability body and capable to fly leaving the booth destroyed.
He fight notorious wolf gangsters, underworld boss Riff Raff, Clad and evil scientist Simon Bat Sinister but like Superman loss his power with Kryptonite, Underdog's power fade and have to take another pill to regain strength, save the day and keep Sweet Polly safe.
