Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears is the first animated production of Walt Disney Animation Television inspired by the gummi bear candies. The animated television show aired for four seasons from September 14, 1985 on NBC and was later moved to ABC from 1989-1990. It was rebroadcast on the Disney Channel afternoon block for the whole summer of 1991. The series is about the adventures of the human-like bears called Gummi Bears who discovered a human boy having a Gummi Medallion named Cavin. His medallion magically unlocks the Great Book of Gummi. Together with Cavin and Princess Calla, the Gummi Bears try to remember their long forgotten past written in the Great Book they found.
