Ducktales is an animated television series featuring the adventures of Scrooge McDuck and his great-nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie. When Uncle Scrooge joined the army, Donald Duck takes part of the obligation to his three nephews. Other characters include Scrooge's pilot Launchpad McQuack, the butler Duckworth, the inventor Gyro Gearloose, the nanny Mrs. Beakley and her granddaughter Webby. The antagonists in the show includes the Beagle Boys, the witch Magica De Spell and the industrialist Flintheart Glomgold. The villains want to get Uncle Scrooge's Number One Dime and his money. Uncle Scrooge is the richest duck in the world but he constantly tries to find ways to increase his wealth more. The series aired for 100 episodes for four seasons from September 18, 1987 to November 28, 1990. It is based on Carl Barks' comic book series, Uncle Scrooge.
