Battle of the Planets is an adaptation of an animated series from Japan called Kagaku Ninja Tai Gatchaman or Science Ninja Gatchaman. Sandy Frank Entertainment produced the series which 85 Gatchaman episodes are used out of 105 episodes of the original series. The story is about the adventures of a team of teenaged superheroes called G-Force as they travel by The Phoenix to fight against Zoltar and his evil forces from Planet Spectra. The team consists of Mark, Jason, Princes, Keyop and Tiny. Chief Anderson and 7-Zark-7 guide the teenaged hero team together with Colonel Cronos, President Kane, Susan and 1-Rover-1. There are four vehicles that the team are using. It includes Jason's futuristic car armed with different weapons, “galacti-cycle”, Princess' futuristic motorcycle, “Space Bubble” of Keyop and a futuristic fighter jet driven by Mark. Tiny is the one who drives the Phoenix, the main ship of the G-Force Team. Each team member wears a wrist-band communicator device to stay in tact and to be able to transform into their G-Force uniforms.
