Batman Beyond or also named as Batman of the Future in Europe, Japan, Mexico and Australia is an animated series and continuation of the Batman Legacy created by Warner Bros. Animation in cooperation with DC Comics. The series aired from January 10, 1999 to December 18, 2001 for 52 episodes. It features an aged and bitter Bruce Wayne who had retired his Batman career many years ago as he train a young high school boy Terry McGinnis to be the next Batman and fight criminals in the future. Derek Powers is the first foe of Terry. There is also a new version of Royal Flush Gang and the Jokerz, a gang idolizing the notorious Clown Price of Crime came out in the series. The series fast-forwards to year 2039 in a futuristic megapolis called Neo-Gotham.
