Whirlybirds or Copter Patrol is a 30-minute American drama television show produced by Desilu Studios. It ran from February 4, 1957 until January 18, 1960 for 111 episodes. The series is about two pilots named Chuck Martin and Pete Moore played by actors Kenneth Tobey and Craig Hill. They are the owners of Whirlybird Service in the American West. The show is the first series to feature helicopters as the main focus that inspires young people to become chopper pilots. It is one of the top rated television show during 1950s. The helicopter named Bell 47 N975B is the star of the show piloted by Chuck Martin and Pete Moore.
