The Rat Patrol is a 30-minute television program ran from 1966 to 1968 with 56 episodes in United States produced by Mirisch-Rich Television Productions in association with Tom Gries Productions Inc. starring Christopher George as Troy and Eric Braden as Dietrich. The series followed the story of an elite team consists of three American and one British allied soldiers during the World War II. Their mission is to attack and wreak chaos on Field Marshal Rommel's Afrika Korps. They are armed with jeeps and equipped with point 50 caliber guns. The Rat Patrol is set in the deserts of Spain. The cast includes Christopher George as Sgt. Sam Troy, Eric Braeden as Capt. Hans Dietrich, Gary Raymond as Sgt. Jack Moffitt, Lawrence Casey as Pvt. Mark Hitchcock and Justin Tarr as Tully Pettigrew.
