In 1966, 20th Century Fox aired The Green Hornet to duplicate the success of Batman. It is a 30-minute American super-hero fantasy television series starring Van Williams as the Green Hornet or Britt Reid and Bruce Lee as Kato. The series followed the adventures of a newspaper publisher and martial expert masked as Green Hornet who fights crime with his martial arts partner. He has a car which has lots of weapons named The Black Beauty with plate number V-194. It ran for 26 episodes from September 9, 1966 to July 14, 1967. The cast also include Wende Wagner as Lenore “Casey” Case, Lloyd Gough as Mike Axford and Walter Brooke as District Atty. F.P. Scanlon.
