Tarzan is a television series ran from 1966-1968 on NBC Channel with a total of 57 episodes. The series is based on the creation of Edgar Rice Burroughs in 1912. Tarzan, the King of the Jungle is a fictional character raised in African jungle by Mangani. Ron Ely portrayed Tarzan who is tired of civilization and returns to the jungle where he had been raised. A NYPD detective, Jane Porter meet John Clayton who prefers to be called Tarzan. Upon meeting Jane, he begins to follow her wherever she goes and together they solve police cases.
