Dangerous Assignment is a television series ran from 1949 to 1953 on NBC starring Brian Donlevy as Steve Mitchell. The series narrates the life and adventures of US agent Steve Mitchell as he traveled the world where he investigate cases of threats to national security. The head of an unknown US Department Agency called “The Comissioner” (Herb Butterfield) is the one who is responsible for giving Mitchell assignments together with the background information and explains the current situation.
